You, on the other hand, have shown so many kindnesses and provided my child with attention, understanding and FUN, which all encourage the kids’ mental growth and emotional development: the “art” projects, the games, the snacks, the story times — all these extra activities require supplies and extra time for preparation and clean-up, not to mention patience. We recently moved to Berlin. We almost did not. The reason: Donna. She looked after our boy (10 months when she started and 18 when we had to leave) and sometimes his elder sister (4) every day for about five to six hours in our home. Donna could not have been more fun, wise, responsible, loving, proactive. We already miss her (and her wonderful family) in our life. Donna is the kind of nanny that will stay with you for life, and more importantly, in the heart of your children, wherever you go.
